Everyday when Josh comes home for lunch he and Elise take turns asking each other how they spent their morning. Josh's answer varies from day to day, but Elise's is almost always the same. "I played" is about as much information as she's usually willing to disclose. Today, however her answer was a little different. "I played with my friend" was her reply, to which Josh responded "and who is your friend?" "Tori is my friend" she said cheerfully. How lucky she is to have a sister and a friend all rolled into one!
A couple of months ago I caught Elise attempting to potty train Tori. I walked into the bathroom and there was Elise sitting on the toilet and Tori on the little potty chair both as happy as can be. Tori's joy quickly wore off when she began to get tackled, have her pants and diaper ripped off, and get dragged into the bathroom everytime her sister needed to go. I, of course, stepped in and told Elise she could only teach Tori to use the potty first thing in the morning, and only with my help. And so each morning we have been taking the girls out of their pyjamas and sending them off to the bathroom to do their business (or at least try.) well, yesterday Tori peed in the potty and has proceeded to do so three times since! I'm so proud and yet so unable to accept the fact that I'm suddenly diving into the world of potty training all over again! Yikes!
