We bought Elise a new car seat so that Tori could move into Elise's old one. Our girls just seem to grow so slowly that they have to sit rear facing for an eternity, but grow too tall for their newborn car seats. So, Elise got a new one that is only forward facing but can convert to a booster seat and Tori gets upgraded to Elise's seat which can be either rear or forward facing. Tori has her immunizations this coming Tuesday so we will have some actual measurements to report, but I snuck her into a scale at the doctors office the other day and it's looking like she is approximately 18 pounds, about the same size Elise was at her age. Elise wasn't heavy enough for a forward facing car seat until she was well over two years old!
The weather is a little chilly to be installing new car seats so for now we have a temporary living room jungle gym on which to climb, and reinact scenes from the titanic.
