There was a trade fair in Eston today, so we braved the blizzard and spent much of the day at the sports complex. We enjoyed: hotdogs, doughnuts, specialty coffees, pie, Chinese food, and lolly pops (the only thing Elise would eat.) There was a kids area set up on the curling rink with bouncy castles, a petting zoo, pony rides, snakes to touch, lizards, ferrets, bunnies, and a gigantic turtle to look at. Elise was a little nervous at first but after some bouncy castle fun she was willing to get a little closer to the animals and even touch a big white snake. She looked terrified as she rode Dusty the pony around in circles but she was whispering "giieee up" and "more" under her breath. Tory got to meet the donkey and even got a few cuddles in with her Uncle Caleb who was in town for visit that was much too short! My camera wasn't cooperating so many of the pictures turned out a little blurry but these ones capture the fun well enough.
Elise's favourite part of the day: getting to take a helium balloon home! It's gonna be a heartbreaker when that thing pops.
