Today I feel tired, but most of my days with this one have been like a sip of coffee so good you don't want to swallow. I just want to hold on to every moment that they are little!
Tummy time is hard work, but with the moral support of her big sisters Clara is getting stronger every day! There are a few foods that Elise really doesn't like. Tomatoes, mushrooms eggs and avocados. I don't make her eat them but I haven't changed my cooking for her either. She has always been content to pick something out of she doesn't like it... that is, until two weeks ago. Lately she has been demanding that josh or I pick the food out for her. It's been a bit of a battle! On Saturday in an effort to avoid the fight without giving in, I gave her a napkin with Cinderella on it and said "Princess Cinderella loves mushrooms. If you find any in your supper you can feed them to her." It worked wonderfully until she decided that "princess Ella" needed a drink of water! Now every princess is "princess Ella" Imagination is running wild around here these days! I love it! Today the girls are camping in the rain, and other than three successful trips to the potty, they have been hiding out in their bunny tent all morning. I'm not allowed in! And so I sit sipping coffee, folding laundry, and checking now and then on my napping baby! It's a good morning! This little girl is growing up! She's bouncy, giggly and so much fun! All her teeth that she has spent the past two months working on have burst through those gums and things are looking brighter! She is also in the middle of her second day of no diapers! She is working hard at keeping her Hello Kitty underwear clean and dry and is doing great! Yesterday we had three accidents and two successes! Today it's two successes and zero accidents! Go Tori Go! Here are just a few of the photos my friend Julie took in the early fall when our sweet Clara was still snuggled up inside me. We did it! We survived the first six weeks of this wee one's life! She still doesn't seem to know day from night and firmly believes that she should be snuggled at all times and never put down! At least she's got two big sisters who are always eager for a cuddle! |
