Elise just cut her second tooth in two weeks. These photos are just a glimpse of how up and down our last day and a half have been!

We have been home since Sunday and are starting to get back into the swing of things. After spending such a long time with Gramma, Grampa, and Uncles Brad and Steve Elise doesn't really understand why she should have to spend any time alone! Grandma and Grandpa of the North are arriving tonight with Auntie Victory! I successfully managed to get Elise to go to bed early so that she can get up for a visit when they arrive without too many repercussions tomorrow!!!
Tonight Elise and I were home alone at Gramma and Grampa's house so we decided to try a edible finger paint recipe that Monica Switzer posted on her blog a few weeks ago (Thanks Monica!) Here are some pictures of the fun and the mess!
On Thursday night my brother, Brad, and I took Elise Swimming! I thought she might like it because she loves baths so much. It was really noisy and I think Elise felt a little bit terrified! She did really well but clung to me and cried if I passed her to Brad or held her in any way other than pressed up right next to me! She did start to feel comfortable and I got her floating on her back and kicking in the water but then they turned on the waves and that was the end of the fun! Changing in the change room wasn't that easy to do by myself either. Next time we'll take Josh with us!
This Cardboard box serves as a makeshift highchair. It's not very high but it does the trick of keeping her upright and keeping the snack contained to one area!
Well, It sure is something traveling on three different airplanes with a very tired little girl! She did well for most of the day but it sure feels good to have reached our destination! We will be spending the next couple of weeks in Nanaimo with my parents and brother! This is my first time here since Steve has been in Ottawa and it feels a little strange not seeing him! I'll be sure to keep you all updated on the highlights of our trip! |
