I've been finding little doodles on just about everything these days. I guess I'll have to make sure the permanent markers are kept locked up tight. And I suppose I could stop leaving pens laying around!

Tonight was one of those nights where Elise's bedtime came...
and went...
How can you send such a happy, sweet, adorable and so totally not tired little one to bed? She is just having so much fun sitting on her new chair and snuggling her bunny rabbit. I'm sure, before long, the time will come when she will be tucked in and kissed goodnight. But for now I think I'm gonna enjoy little extra time spent soaking in her smiles and cheery chattering.
We spent the weekend building this beautiful fence! We've been planning it for a long time now and it is great to see it finally (almost) finished. We just need to pile some dirt under a few spots so the dogs can't escape and finish a small section on one side. We are so thankful to everyone who made this happen. We are exhausted and sore and Elise ( who didn't really help much) looks like she took a board to the eye! She went to bed the other night with two small mosquito bites under her left eye and woke up looking like this:
Elise had her 12 month immunizations today. Poor girl always has a horrible time afterwards. She's been a trooper but by four this afternoon she was inconsolable. Here are some pretty pictures from before the melt down.
This little one weighs exactly 18 pounds now and 74 cm long! So, she's still in the 15th percentile for weight but is now back to 50th for height and head size!
We had a wonderful long weekend full of fun and family. We stayed in Swift current with Josh's brother Caleb and Nikki, squeezed a quick visit in with his Uncle, Aunt and cousins and even enjoyed a campfire with my brother Steve and Lisa who were camping nearby.
Hope you like this beautiful view of Elise's teeth! She was visiting with me as i washed my hands in the bathroom and got so excited when her dad came around the corner that she leaped into the air and chipped her tooth on the side of the tub! All this worry of her slipping in the tub and knocking her teeth out and she manages to do half the job while not even taking a bath.
This girl is on the go! Not walking yet, but moving around so much that it's hard to get a clear picture of her! I need to get a new camera but for now the only way to get her to stay still is to give her her own little chair to sit on. She is also learning to feed herself with a spoon it's pretty messy but she is just as happy to practice with an empty container!
But how does she get down from her special chair?
She takes the hard way of course!
