These three have been spending a lot of quality time together this week. Elise has been getting some extra special attention. Lucky lucky little girls!
Elise is enjoying her little sister! She really likes helping burp Tori, but, more than that, she likes to gently push Tori in her swing.
It's hard to believe our little Tori is already one week old. Elise has been adjusting to all the changes easily. We had Goga and Papa here all week, and what a treat that was. My back has been aching terribly all week and I don't know what we would have done without all their help. We said our goodbyes this evening. Elise gave them their hugs and kisses and we waved good bye at the window. About ten minutes later she looked around the room, burst into tears and needed a big hug from her daddy. Poor girl is going to find it harder to adjust to grandparents leaving than to the arrival of a new baby sister.
Last night we decided to give Tori her first bath since coming home from the hospital. Elise kept a watchful eye but didn't fight to be too involved. Tori screamed, but settled right down as soon as she was all warped up again.
Then it was Elise's turn to bathe her "free bin" baby! Oh the fun!
We arrived home yesterday, and it sure feels good. At first Elise Burst into tears and clung to Josh. After we had reassured her that we weren't leaving again she was excited to meet her new sister.

8 pounds 10 ounces 21.25 inches Born at 11:03 this morning Healthy, content, and very much loved! Lee Lee doesn't know it yet, but her world just got a lot brighter. We decided to paint a picture for Josh's office this year! I used painter's tape to make a big heart on a canvas and then let Elise loose with a paintbrush and some paint. I forgot to take a picture of the finished project but it was simple. Once the paint had dried, I peeled off the tape and voila a beatiful work of art. Gotta love Pinterest and all the good ideas other people come up with!
She's quite a serious little artist!
Today Elise sat down with a pen and some paper to practice her scribbling. She somehow managed to take the pen apart. It was fun watching her inspect each piece and try to put it back together.
