Elise loves to eat! One of our challenges is that she has to drink a lot while eating. She much prefers to throw her cup on the floor than drink anything. Josh has managed to solve this problem by teaching her how to say cheers. They bump their cups together and both take a big sip! Elise loves this little game and it sure helps meal times go much more smoothly! Less picking up dropped cups, less cleaning up spilled water and much less choking!
It may be wishful thinking, but I sure hope this game continues to hold her interest for a long time!

Elise was sick again so stayed home from daycare today! Josh stayed with her and off I went to work. I managed, of course, to have my face painted while I was there! When I came home, decked out as a beautiful butterfly, Elise was terrified! It took time but I won her over by reading to her and letting her "honk" my nose.
Well, we've joined the leagues of soccer moms everywhere and bought a mini-van. Let me tell you how much I love it! Puting Elise into her carseat much easier when you don't have to bend down so low, and then there's the sliding door! What a convenience. Life is as easy as life can get with a toddler and an ever expanding baby belly to haul around.
I'm also celebrating being 30 today! Life is good! A cake at work, a new hoodie, plans for dinner and a movie in Kindersley and a very happy little girl to spend the afternoon with!
This afternoon Elise and I went out for her first play in the snow! At first she hated it...
But eventually she began to feel a little more comfortable with the idea...
And even started to explore a little.
Our snow play lasted about as long as it took me to get her dressed! But then we came in and enjoyed 'hot' chocolate and cookies for two!
I bet you can guess which new experience she enjoyed more!
We spent last weekend away and Josh and I ended up getting the flu. YUCK!!!! I'm feeling better now, but as I look around my house I realize how much I have to clean up! Our suitcase, for example, is still sitting on our kitchen floor! Oh well,it made the perfect little entertainment center for Elise this morning as I cleaned the kitchen!
I think I might leave it there just a couple hours longer!
Lately when we ask Elise where the baby is she does one of three things: pats me on the belly, pats herself on the belly, or goes and gets this little dolly that fits just perfectly in her little arms. She is a little smartie pants too as she has never patted Josh on the belly.
And on another note: Jack has given up on being a dog and has decided it's a cats life for him!
