There are a lot of firsts but there are also a lot of lasts. Today was Elise's last day of being three! She seems so grown up and full of spunk and attitude these days! I love her to bits! We just got home from Springside camp where my two big girlies got to live the dream and ride their first school bus. It was a short, wild and bumpy ride through the coulée, and they loved every minute of it.
We spent some time celebrating Goga's Birthday last weekend, and have been on the go ever since! Clara finally decided it was time to let someone other than me feed her once in a while! And then she turned seven months old! I can't believe it! We had a wonderful visit with Uncle Brad! He taught the girls how to play Musical chairs. Tori had a hard time losing at first, but eventually learned that it's just part of the game. We decided to have Elise's birthday party early this year. The end of June is jam packed with all kinds of fun, and my brother, Brad, is here this week. I can't believe my Lee Lee is almost Four! Last Friday josh went away for the weekend. The girls and I had a blast! We went to the park where we played, we picnicked, and we did some swinging. Then a thunder storm came and chased us home. I had a couple of very frightened little girls on my hands! We spent the rest of the weekend garage sale shopping, sharing meals with friends and birthday partying. Josh arrived home safe and sound on Sunday night. Now we are enjoying the company of my brother Brad! The girls are crazy about him! Today I caught Elise tracing letters in a colouring book. When did she get so smart? Clara has been noticing all the little details on her toys lately. It's fun watching her explore her world! And then there's the wild one! I should have named her Taz. She's like a tornado. But oh, she is fun! This morning, as I sat sipping my coffee, a deer came stroling past my window. Not a usual sight in town! Where does the time go! This girl is six months old and eager to get going! Her big sisters are eager to smother her with hugs, kisses, and the occasional foot to the face. She is well loved! Elise successfully went camping on Friday night for an hour and a half! She loved it, but decided she would be a little more comfortable in her own bed. She's such a cutie! Elise has gone on a little camping trip with our very good friend Julie (there will be pictures of that in the near future I'm sure.)Tonight Tori and I had a special at home spa date. We started with tea and a foot bath, put cucumber slices on our eyes, painted nails, and I gave her a nice little back rub. She loved it way more than I had imagined she would! she is just too sweet for words! Well, I must say, I was spoiled rotten this weekend! Josh and the girls took me out, ordered in, cooked for me, gave me lovely little gifts and let me relax as much a possible! It is so very wonderful getting to be mommy to my three little girlies! I couldn't be happier! The only thIng that could have made the celebration of motherhood better would have been the opportunity to spend some time with my own mom and mom-in-law! I'm pretty spoiled from both sides, and not just on Mother's Day! |
